tierra que delaten cad\u00e1veres putrefactos, Mar\u00eda Herrera, una anciana de 70 a\u00f1os, barre con una vara hojas secas en un cerro del poblado de Huitzuco con la f\u00e9rrea esperanza de encontrar, al menos, alg\u00fan resto de sus cuatro hijos desaparecidos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecuerden que los cuerpos sueltan gases y hacen que la tierra se eleve y luego cuando se descomponen m\u00e1s se miran hundimientos\u201d, indica, con la voz quebrada, a un centenar de personas que rastrean fosas clandestinas usando picos y palas, y que son parte de una brigada independiente en el convulso estado de Guerrero.<\/p>\n<p>Los reportes oficiales de desaparecidos en M\u00e9xico aumentaron vertiginosamente desde diciembre de 2006, a la par de la militarizaci\u00f3n del combate contra el narcotr\u00e1fico, y hoy suman m\u00e1s de 4 mil.<\/p>\n<p>Las estad\u00edsticas incluyen dos o m\u00e1s personas de una misma familia secuestradas en el mismo momento.<\/p>\n<p>Pero existe un subgrupo a\u00fan m\u00e1s tr\u00e1gico: aquellos que desaparecieron buscando a sus familiares previamente raptados.<\/p>\n<p>Mar\u00eda Herrera, una mujer canosa de ojos peque\u00f1os y negros, es la Incursionaron en la venta de vajilla y luego en el comercio de oro por todo el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>En uno de sus rutinarios viajes empresariales, en agosto de 2008, sus hijos m\u00e1s chicos, Ra\u00fal, de 19 a\u00f1os, y Jes\u00fas Salvador, de 24, llegaron a Guerrero cuando ocurr\u00eda un sangriento ajuste de cuentas entre narcotraficantes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMis hermanos desconociendo esa informaci\u00f3n llegan a Atoyac de \u00c1lvarez\u201d, Guerrero, junto con cinco empleados y unos 90 mil d\u00f3lares al tipo de cambio de la \u00e9poca en efectivo y oro, narra Juan Carlos, otro de los hijos de Herrera.<\/p>\n<p>Sospecha que un c\u00e1rtel local los confundi\u00f3 con delincuentes de un grupo rival y fueron detenidos en connivencia con polic\u00edas locales.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de los riesgos, la familia comenz\u00f3 a buscar por su propia cuenta: contrataron investigadores privados, tocaron puertas gubernamentales. (Photo by Pedro PARDO \/ AFP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La tragedia se ahond\u00f3 cuando se quedaron sin dinero y entonces Luis Armando y Gustavo, de 25 y 27 a\u00f1os, padres de tres ni\u00f1os, decidieron retomar el negocio del oro.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVamos a trabajar para buscar a nuestros hermanos porque igual la delincuencia se los lleva a diferentes partes y ojal\u00e1 los encontremos\u201d, le dijo Gustavo a su madre, seg\u00fan ella recuerda.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 T\u00e9cnicas de b\u00fasqueda \u2013<br \/>\nEl 22 de septiembre de 2010 Gustavo Trujillo Herrera se comunic\u00f3 con su esposa desde Poza Rica, Veracruz. Fue el \u00faltimo d\u00eda que supieron de \u00e9l y de su hermano Armando.<\/p>\n<p>Descubrieron que, momentos despu\u00e9s de esa llamada telef\u00f3nica, ambos fueron detenidos por polic\u00edas. Dejaron atr\u00e1s la casa familiar y en ella el enorme comedor en el que so\u00f1aba que siempre comer\u00edan sus ocho hijos, sus nueras y sus nietos.<\/p>\n<p>Suplic\u00f3 ayuda incluso al ahora expresidente Felipe Calder\u00f3n en un acto p\u00fablico. Con el tiempo, perdi\u00f3 la esperanza de encontrarlos con vida.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 2016, hizo su primer rastreo en Veracruz.<\/p>\n<p>Desde entonces ha aprendido t\u00e9cnicas de b\u00fasqueda de cad\u00e1veres asesorada por antrop\u00f3logos forenses, como clavar varillas de hierro en forma de T para saber si bajo la tierra hay gases f\u00e9tidos producto de la descomposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9xico es \u201cuna enorme fosa clandestina\u201d, reconoce el subsecretario de Derechos Humanos, Alejandro Encinas.
